Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for supporting Golden Elm Woodcraft. I take great pride in handcrafting each piece of woodenware and every forged tool. Because I am a sole trader, I handle every aspect of your order personally and want to ensure you are happy with your experience.
1. Handmade Character

Please keep in mind that I work with natural materials. Every piece of timber and steel has its own character. Small variations in grain, color, and texture are not flaws; they are the fingerprints of handmade work and ensure your item is one-of-a-kind.

2. Physical Products (Woodenware & Tools)

I want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you change your mind, I offer a return or exchange within 14 days of you receiving the item, provided that:

  • The item is unused and in its original condition.

  • You contact me via email to initiate the return.

  • Return shipping costs are covered by the buyer.

I stand by the quality of my work. If an item arrives damaged or develops a structural fault due to craftsmanship, please contact me immediately with a photo of the issue.

  • In accordance with consumer guarantees, I will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund for any major fault.

  • I will cover the return shipping costs for items that are confirmed as faulty.

3. Classes

As a small business, my classes have limited spots and materials are prepared specifically for each student. Therefore, I have the following cancellation policy:

  • More than 7 days’ notice: I will provide a full refund or a transfer to a future class date.

  • 2 to 7 days’ notice: I can offer a 50% refund or a credit towards a future workshop.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: I am unable to offer a refund or credit, as I have likely already prepared the materials and am unable to fill your spot on short notice. However, you are welcome to send a friend in your place!

4. Custom & Bespoke Orders

For custom-made items specifically commissioned for you, I cannot offer refunds for change of mind once work has commenced. I will, however, keep you updated throughout the process to ensure the final piece meets your expectations.
